Can you believe Thanksgiving is over, and the Holiday season is in full swing? The Thanksgiving turkey roasting is over, but before we get too busy window shopping and taking part in the traditional Holiday hustle bustle, we wanted to take this opportunity to alert our patients about important dental insurance information.
Dental insurance benefits expire each year. This means that any unused insurance benefits – you’ve already paid into your plan – will disappear on New Year’s Day. And they do not roll over to the next year.
It doesn’t matter if you belong to an employer provided network, PPO, HMO, or carry any other individual dental insurance, it’s going to expire at the end of the year. Many people do not realize this and let hundreds (or even thousands) of dollars’ worth of benefits go to waste.
